The Mystery of the GiantsMarkets: The Mahon the markets are on Tuesdays and Saturdays and in Ciutadella you will find them on Fridays and Saturdays and also on, Wednesdays from april to october.

Beaches: There are more than 50 beaches around the island of Menorca, some are listed below.

Arenal d'es Castell also known as Arenal d'en Castell

Arenal d'es Castell is a semi urban beach and it is considered to be one of the most beautiful places of the northern coast of Menorca, very near the village with the same name. This inlet is semicircular, it has a huge size and the beach is sandy, with rare vegetation in the surroundings, a natural rocky and narrow entrance, the orientation is toward northeast, the swell is moderate, and it is surrounded by residential houses. A great beach for the family.

Arenal de s'Olla de Son Saura also known as Arenal de Son Saura, Arenal de s'Olla, Platja de Son Parc

Arenal de s'Olla de Son Saura, Arenal de Son Saura, Arenal de s'Olla or Platja de Son Parc (original name) is situated next to the village Son Parc. This inlet is characterized by having a quite big size, the beach is sandy with dunes, low cliffs with natural breakwaters, the orientation is toward north, a gentle breeze, a moderate swell, currents, a gentle slope, transparent water and it is a semiurban beach (on the right side there are apartments and on the left there is a restaurant).

Cala en Bosch also known as Cala'n Bosch

Cala'n Bosch is situated at 12 kilometres from Ciutadella, located between Marina de Cala en Bosch and Punta de sa Guarda, as well as next to the villages of Cap d'Artrutx and Son Xoriguer. This beach is the first that the visitor will find in the south coast of Menorca, coming from west and next to Cap d'Artrutx (if the weather is good you can see the coast of Majorca from here). It is a u-shaped inlet, with fine-grained white sand, steep and abrupt sides with rocks which are not very high, on the top of which you will see some touristy buildings, it is exposed to the winds from the east-southeast-south-southwest-west, a gentle breeze, and it is one of the biggest coastal stretches of developed coves near Ciutadella.

Cala en Forcat

Cala en Forcat is situated at seven kilometres from Ciutadella, located between Cap de Banyos and ses Dobles, as well as next to the village of Los delfines and the touristy areas Cales Piques and Cala en Brut.

Casino: Located along the Port of Mahon, the Casino Maritim offers a place to have a drink, dine, play black jack, the American roulette or poker and win attractive prizes from the accumulated sums of the slot machines. Open from 21.00 to 04.00 every day, closing one hour later (05.00) on Fridays, Saturdays and during the summer season.

Fortalesa La Mola: The Fortress of Isabel II - LA MOLA was built between the years 1850 and 1875; it is located in one of the most beautiful spots of Minorca, constituting one of the best examples of late XIXth Century military architecture and of the island's military history.

Torre De Fornells: A coastal defence tower built by the British at the begriming of the 19th century. Reached by foot from the Fornells.

Horse Riding: There are plenty are places around the island where you can have a go at riding a horse or pony.

Water Park: There are two parks, one in Cala Forcat called Aqua Park and one in Cala Bosc called Aqua Rock. This one is larger than the one in Cala Forcat

Glass Bottom Boat: A number of glass bottom boats operate in Mahon from the main harbour and are well recommended.
